3 steps you can do today to become a digital nomad
The most important part to becoming a digital nomad is changing your mindset.
Being a digital nomad is a totally new concept and because of this, not many people know much about it.
It might be hard to imagine a life where you don’t have to go to work in an office or a shop in order to make money.
But once you start learning and educating yourself you will soon see that there is an entirely new lifestyle out there that is not as far fetched as you might think now.
How to start becoming a Digital Nomad today
Here are my 3 simple tips you can start doing today to start changing your mindset and start becoming a digital nomad
1.Read books instead of Facebook
I’m not talking about 50 shades of grey but books about personal development.
One book can honestly change how you think for the rest of your life. i.e The 4-Hour Work Week: Escape the 9-5, Live Anywhere and Join the New Rich
I really struggled reading as I thought I never had enough time.
But I bought a kindle and brought it into work and started reading during my lunch time. With even reading 30 minutes a day I started getting through some amazing books.
Even if you don’t go out and buy a book listen to an audio book! It literally requires no effort but you still gain all the amazing knowledge and insights.
2.Listen to podcasts instead of the radio
I never listened to a podcast until summer 2015.
Now I listen to at least one podcast a day.
It’s like listening to radio but instead of listening to music you only like 20% of the time.
You can listen to inspirational talks by some of the most successful people in the world all for free.
The podcast that has helped change my mindset the most has been the Travel Like a Boss Podcast by JonnyFD.
I could write an entire blog post about the value you get from his podcasts. But for now just believe when I say that if you listen to his podcasts from the start by the end of it you will be so ready and pumped to start becoming a digital nomad.
3.Watch YouTube instead of TV/Netflix
My guilty pleasure is watching videos of digital nomads showing their apartments around the world.
If seeing an apartment by the beach in Thailand doesn’t get you excited and motivated start working towards being a digital nomad then nothing will :p.
